Events:
Over the course of the year Pearson Canada may sponsor or co-sponsor professional learning events for teachers and administrators. These events generally have a registration fee attached and can run half-day, full day, or multiple days. This professional learning opportunity covers a range of topics from assessment to leadership and staff development, numeracy, and literacy to classroom instructional strategies to differentiate instruction and enhance teacher effectiveness.
Webinars:
Webinars are free one hour introductory sessions designed to help educators learn more about the research foundations behind the Pearson professional learning courses (First Steps® in Literacy, First Steps® in Mathematics, and Stepping Out®) and the impact implementation can have on teaching and learning. These one hour sessions are delivered through Adobe ConnectTM, a web conferencing tool, which allow participants to see and hear an online presentation anytime, anywhere, through the use of a standard browser, and dedicated phone line.
